ARE YOUR REASONS FOR BEING IN

BUSINESS:

You'd better think again.

What are the six most common reasons these objectives are not met?

Poor management

Business people often fail to recognise what they don’t, and can't, do well at in business. Too often they resist or reject asking for help; to their detriment.

Insufficient capital

Owners underestimate how much money is required to make a successful business; not only the cost of starting, but the cost of staying in business.

Lack of core values

These are the things that people believe are important in the way they live and work. Most people do not understand the importance of values to their business.

Rapid growth and over expansion

Owners, entrepreneurs and leaders often confuse success with how fast they can expand. They don’t conduct thorough research to ensure they get the timing and funding right.

Lack of planning

It is critical for businesses to have a plan, including a clear strategy and unique value proposition. The vast majority never, never ever reach their potential because of this fundamental shortcoming.

Staffing

Guiding, setting expectations and outcomes, truly listening etc. while also handling office politics, silos and 'real world' problems are some of the issues most leaders do not simultaneously manage well.

WHO I COACH & MENTOR

Most business owners believe that the issues (problems) preventing them from growing are external factors; such as market opportunities, gaining new customers, product issues etc.

This is not the case. The issues – described in the column above – are largely internal and lie (most often) with the owner. This is sometimes hard to accept. The good news is, these problems are not only common to most businesses, but are highly predictable. Through my post-grad studies and experience I know, and this is well researched, when these problems are going to occur. You definitely need to know! My role is to support and motivate you; to encourage you to openly discuss your circumstances and needs. I help you focus and prioritise, while presenting an unbiased view. Importantly, I help you view the situation from a different perspective. To help you stay ahead of the problem, I draw on my coaching and business experience, allowing for an outcome that has been well thought through, discussed and analysed.

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES ME FROM OTHER COACHES?

My

EXPERIENCE

I started and ran my own businesses successfully for 30+ years. Having ‘been there’, I truly understand the numerous issues confronting my clients. My experience and expertise in ‘start-ups’ across different industries, growing them into viable companies and then exiting them successfully, can definitely help you to greater success in your business.

My

APPROACH

No pre-made programs or questionnaires. I use an evidence based approach, i.e. systems thinking (examining the links and interactions making up your business), self-awareness (understanding you and your motives), and business competence (how you communicate and express yourself). Having a Masters in Business Coaching (UOW) helps me achieve this.

Family

BUSINESS

Having worked with family members, I understand the dynamics between family, management and ownership in family run business. My expertise extends to developing and implementing business strategies, how to resolve disputes and the crucial planning for handing the business over to the next generation.

ONLY ONE ACTION IS REQUIRED

The printed word alone will never tell you if we can work well together; particularly in this unregulated market where anyone can call themselves a business coach.

There is an easy way to find out. Call and:

  • Listen ‘between the lines.’
  • Ask questions to help you decide whether you’ll feel comfortable in a coaching partnership with me.
  • I’ll gladly meet with you in person in Sydney (or on Zoom) – without any obligation – exploring your issues, showing you who I am and what I can offer you and your business.
